Welcome to the Executives Association of Long Beach Member Directory

The long standing slogan of the association has been "Business is our Business". The Executives Association of Long Beach (EALB) was founded in 1922. It is an association of Long Beach business executives, each of whom represents his or her respective firm at the management level.

The Long Beach Executives Association is a member of the International Executives Association, a worldwide group of similar associations. It is not a service club, a social group or fraternal order. The EALB is a networking group for business owners and high level executives. It has but one unique objective: to capture the natural bond of common interest which exists between business executives and by regular weekly meetings, develop and enjoy a brand of fellowship conducive to the creation of additional and profitable business for all its members.

It does not require its members to patronize each other, but it does provide opportunities for each member to promote their products or services and it can open doors that otherwise are closed to desired business. Members of the EALB often consider the association as an extension of their own business or profession.

On Monday, April 23rd the Executives Association of Long Beach met for their weekly networking luncheon to hear a classification talk from Josh Thomson of Thomson AC.

Ten years ago, Josh started his AC company from the bottom up. He started with the idea that he wanted to be the helpful guy next door and not known as a typical AC business. By tossing out the typical business practices of other AC companies, he created a new business model to cater to his client’s needs. He began new practices like giving ball park quotes overs the phone rather then telling the customer the only way to get a quote was to come to their homes. He also used a simple “uniform” of a t-shirt and a ball cap rather then looking like a larger business entity with a traditional uniform.  Josh created Thomson AC with one thing in mind: to treat customers like family.

Josh is one of our newer members, joining us a year ago. Josh is a proud father of two and husband who loves playing music and restoring WV vans.

Josh’s talk provided insight into heating and air for homes. Josh explains that most homes in the Long Beach area have undersized units for their oversized homes and how new advances in heating and air can improve the home. Different options for the home include pump units and conventional units, indoor/outdoor split systems, and ductless systems. Thomson AC also partners with Daikin, the U.S. largest AC and heating manufacture, when installing complex systems. Josh went on to explain that most repairs require just a simple filter change which they could tell you over the phone instead of charging to go out and replace it. When it comes to air duct cleaning, the cost of a quality cleaning is similar to replacing the ducts themselves and are often recommended to the client due to the warranty and maintaining clean ducts.

Thomson AC gives their customers the best care when repairing or replacing heating and air units. They are honest with their customers and collaborate with them to find what works in their home. Thomson AC is in the Yelp Hall of Fame due to their great customer service by continuing to treat customers like family.
