Welcome to the Executives Association of Long Beach Member Directory

The long standing slogan of the association has been "Business is our Business". The Executives Association of Long Beach (EALB) was founded in 1922. It is an association of Long Beach business executives, each of whom represents his or her respective firm at the management level.

The Long Beach Executives Association is a member of the International Executives Association, a worldwide group of similar associations. It is not a service club, a social group or fraternal order. The EALB is a networking group for business owners and high level executives. It has but one unique objective: to capture the natural bond of common interest which exists between business executives and by regular weekly meetings, develop and enjoy a brand of fellowship conducive to the creation of additional and profitable business for all its members.

It does not require its members to patronize each other, but it does provide opportunities for each member to promote their products or services and it can open doors that otherwise are closed to desired business. Members of the EALB often consider the association as an extension of their own business or profession.

On Monday, December 10th the Executives Association of Long Beach met for their weekly networking luncheon to hear Jay Beeler of Beeler and Associates.

Beeler & Associates (B&A) is a Long Beach advertising and public relations agency that was founded in 1978. In 2000 B&A acquired a bi-weekly newspaper, Beachcomber, which is currently distributed over 39,000 homes and businesses, primarily in East Long Beach.

Jay Beeler was born and raised in Maryland. Throughout his youth he always understood the value of work by alternating between twelve jobs, which varied from being a DJ to working on a farm. After high school he served in the Air Force where he learned electronics while planting minuteman missiles. After serving, he moved to Long Beach where he attended Long Beach State and also taught at LBSU. Jay is married and has 3 children.

Jay’s talk focused on how there are multiple ways to promote your company’s business across all platforms. One of the most effective ways is through personal contact with others. This can be done through business associations and working with nonprofits. Another way to promote your company is through telecommunication like phone, email, video communication, and using the internet to create a website for your business. Jay also explained how using the media, including newspapers, magazines, radio, and TV, is great way to advertise your business.

Jay knows that no one specific media is better than the other when promoting your business. When you see Jay at Beeler & Associates about advertising your business, he will look at all the different categories with you to see which one will be most effective for your company.
