Welcome to the Executives Association of Long Beach Member Directory

The long standing slogan of the association has been "Business is our Business". The Executives Association of Long Beach (EALB) was founded in 1922. It is an association of Long Beach business executives, each of whom represents his or her respective firm at the management level.

The Long Beach Executives Association is a member of the International Executives Association, a worldwide group of similar associations. It is not a service club, a social group or fraternal order. The EALB is a networking group for business owners and high level executives. It has but one unique objective: to capture the natural bond of common interest which exists between business executives and by regular weekly meetings, develop and enjoy a brand of fellowship conducive to the creation of additional and profitable business for all its members.

It does not require its members to patronize each other, but it does provide opportunities for each member to promote their products or services and it can open doors that otherwise are closed to desired business. Members of the EALB often consider the association as an extension of their own business or profession.

On Monday, January 28st the Executives Association of Long Beach met for their weekly networking luncheon to hear from Dr. Yen of Beach Heights Dentistry.

At Beach Heights Dentistry, they are committed to having a rewarding practice where art meets technology, where their enthusiasm and professional integrity will delight all guests and empower them to achieve lifetime dentistry and entrust their family and friends to Dr. Yen and Beach Heights Dentistry.

Dr. Yen grew up in Ethiopia as an exceptional student. He came to America in 1977 to go to college at age 14, as they were allowed to skip grades in Ethiopia. Dr. Yen traveled around the United States receiving his bachelors, masters, and dental certificates and finally earned his Prosthodontics degree in Texas, where he learned to love country music. Dr, Yen opened his private practice in 1989 in Long Beach renting space from Dr. Blair.  In 2016 Dr. Yen purchased Beach Heights Dentistry from long time Execs member Dr. Fashnacht, and became a member of the Executives Association as well.

Dr. Yen gave us insight into what his specialty is and how early preventative maintenance will be cheaper and less damaging to your overall smile. Dr. Yen also specifies as a prosthodontist who replaces or restores teeth. Dr. Yen also restores the face and jaw. He usually gets a lot of emergency referrals especially during the 4th of July, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.

Dr. Yen explained how preventative care will provide better health for your teeth and smile. Gum disease from smoking can cause people to lose teeth. Erosion and dry mouth from certain medications can also cause lost teeth. The new apple cider vinegar diet is very acidic to the enamel. Sodas and energy drinks are also very acidic to teeth. Sipping a drink is worse then just drinking it because of the amount of time the acidity is in the mouth, the mouth doesn’t have enough time to protect itself. When you lose teeth, it starts a domino effect. When you lose enough teeth the jaw bone starts to shrink as well as nose to chin distance starts to collapse.

New technology has improved the time it takes to make corrections to the mouth. Using digital impressions and CAD/CAM machine can make prostheses same day.

The goal for Dr. Yen and Beach Heights Dentistry is to preserve the health of your mouth. Good gum health, preserving enamel, and replacing missing molars will continue to keep your mouth in good health. Please see Dr. Yen at Beach Heights Dentistry for a consultation.
