Welcome to the Executives Association of Long Beach Member Directory

The long standing slogan of the association has been "Business is our Business". The Executives Association of Long Beach (EALB) was founded in 1922. It is an association of Long Beach business executives, each of whom represents his or her respective firm at the management level.

The Long Beach Executives Association is a member of the International Executives Association, a worldwide group of similar associations. It is not a service club, a social group or fraternal order. The EALB is a networking group for business owners and high level executives. It has but one unique objective: to capture the natural bond of common interest which exists between business executives and by regular weekly meetings, develop and enjoy a brand of fellowship conducive to the creation of additional and profitable business for all its members.

It does not require its members to patronize each other, but it does provide opportunities for each member to promote their products or services and it can open doors that otherwise are closed to desired business. Members of the EALB often consider the association as an extension of their own business or profession.

On Monday, January 13th the Executives Association of Long Beach met for their weekly luncheon to hear from Kelly Williams of Kelly Williams Insurance.

As a 4th generation owner of Kelly Williams Insurance, Kelly Williams has insurance in his blood. For over a hundred years the Williams family has served the Long Beach area and has also been located at the same location on PCH for over 25 years. Many of their agents specialize in Business Insurance, such as workers comp, commercial property, commercial auto, general and profession liability, and personal insurance including: auto, home, umbrella, renters, watercraft, earthquake, flood.

Kelly Williams III was born and raised in Long Beach and attended high school at Long Beach Wilson. After high school, Kelly graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in International Business and also played on Cal’s golf team. Not only is Kelly an active part of the YMCA and insurance committee boards, he is also a past EALB president.

Kelly give us an update on workers comp, and increases of property insurance and renters. Kelly explains that workers compensations have increased the last 5 years and have made increased liability rates and made it increasingly harder to get. Property insurance due to forest and brush fire damage has gone up significantly. Insurance companies are now using google earth to look at each individual home to establish how close they are to brush and possible fire damage. Kelly stated it has changed the market in the last 6 months. Renters insurance has gone up to high levels due to claims. Some companies have pulled out of having renters’ policies and other renter insurance companies will only insure updated or new constructions.

If you have any questions about policies or getting an insurance quote please don’t hesitate to call Kelly at Kelly Williams insurance.
