The long standing slogan of the association has been "Business is our Business". The Executives Association of Long Beach (EALB) was founded in 1922. It is an association of Long Beach business executives, each of whom represents his or her respective firm at the management level.

The Long Beach Executives Association is a member of the International Executives Association, a worldwide group of similar associations. It is not a service club, a social group or fraternal order. The EALB is a networking group for business owners and high level executives. It has but one unique objective: to capture the natural bond of common interest which exists between business executives and by regular weekly meetings, develop and enjoy a brand of fellowship conducive to the creation of additional and profitable business for all its members.

It does not require its members to patronize each other, but it does provide opportunities for each member to promote their products or services and it can open doors that otherwise are closed to desired business. Members of the EALB often consider the association as an extension of their own business or profession.

On Monday, May 11th the Executives Association of Long Beach met for their weekly meeting to hear from Nathan Whittacre and his guest Bruce McCully. 

Stimulus Technologies, is a managing I.T. company based in Nevada and assist in networking, server, and computer infrastructures for almost 20 years.As his company began to service multiple customers throughout Southern California, Nathan decided to open another location in Long Beach, California. 

Nathan Whittacre grew up in Nevada and his computer business started from humble beginnings in his garage with his father and brother. Nathan commutes between Nevada and California working at both locations

Nathan hosted a webinar and his guest speaker was security expert Bruce McCully of Galactic Advisors. The topic was Avoiding the Hack: How Cyber Criminals Are Using This Financial Crisis For Their Own Personal Gain. The webinar hit on many important topics like ransomware attacks have gone up since the pandemic. Bruce also discusses how the types of phishing being used. VPN's are also attacked through either your personal computer or work computer that you brought home Bruce stated. Bruce and Nathan gave some great tips to prevent these issues, please take a look at the video provided.

Avoid The Hack

Bruce has offered to scan up to 3 computers for free and to give you the results of your cyber hygiene.

Next week we will hear a Lauren Gonzalez, a finance professor at Long Beach State on the topic of Fintech options for your business.

Membership Promotion

When you refer a new member, you can have a choice in one of two options

1. Have your dues waived for one quarter.


2. Have your dues, as well as the new members dues cut in half for one quarter.


New member has to be in good standing for the first 6 months to receive the promotion. 

We have introduced a new type of membership. 

Affiliate Member

       Dues are $150 per quarter

       Pays $50 initiation fee to cover badge and T-shirt expense

       Pays $18 for lunch at each meeting attended

       May give and receive leads and give classification talks

       No attendance requirement; may attend showcase and special events

       Entitled to any open classification; no exclusive classification entitlement

       Listed in roster and on web as affiliate member – classification and name only

       Not a voting member and not board eligible


       One-year limit as affiliate member; must become an executive member thereafter

·   Steve has not received dues from several members for last quarter. He has contacted the members several times with varying answers of why they cannot pay in the foreseen future. We have allowed them to continue membership this quarter due to the pandemic but with 3rd quarter dues coming up, it would be unfair to allow them to continue to not meet their financial obligation to the Association.

·   The IEA conference in Vancouver til 2021. I had a IEA ed meeting. The Vancouver association is holding reservation til next year, if we want to pull out, they will charge us a $100 cancelation fee. Not sure what your input on is?
