As a 4th generation owner of Kelly Williams Insurance, Kelly Williams has insurance in his blood. For over a hundred years the Williams family has served the Long Beach area and has also been located at the same location on PCH for over 25 years. Many of their agents specialize in Business Insurance, such as workers comp, commercial property, commercial auto, general and profession liability, and personal insurance including: auto, home, umbrella, renters, watercraft, earthquake, flood, and life.
Kelly Williams III was born and raised in Long Beach and attended high school at Long Beach Wilson. After high school, Kelly graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in International Business and also played on Cal’s golf team. Not only is Kelly an active part of the YMCA and insurance committee boards, he is also a past EALB president.
Kelly’s talk provided insight into how the landscape of insurance is changing with quick direct to consumer quotes and the introduction of new technology, which in turn makes it harder for the consumer to receive good rates. With larger companies using internet quotes with algorithms and quick 15-minute meetings with customers, the insurance experience has become very impersonal and may not get the consumer the right coverage that they might need. Additionally, with satellite pictures and trackers that monitor mileage and driving habits consumers may begin to feel that their privacy might be infringed upon.
What separates Kelly Williams Insurance from the larger insurance companies is that they specialize in multiple personal and business insurances areas compared to larger insurance companies which may only specialize in personal insurance and will only give the consumer 15 minutes of their time. Kelly and his team of agents are ready to provide that personal touch at their client meetings and want to get to know who their clients are so they can match exactly what coverage will be best for each of them.
